I wish I could get morning sky shots like this. Where I live I am behind a mountain. By the time the sun peeks over the peak, the colours are muted. I invite you to come see the skies over Powell Lake in British Columbia. -- Margy
I saw exactly what Spo saw: ICE and COLD. I looked Chicago up! You guys are FREEZING! NO WONDER that picture is SO very sparkly. How many "layers" we're you wearing that morning? Hah.

Mark- We have had a very early winter here. There have been three snowstorms deep enough to shovel in the last week. We have had lows in the single digits and highs below 20 already. More is predicted. I did not have a lot of layers on when I took that photo. I was on my way in to work and was only outside for a few minutes. I did have my extra-heavy down coat on.
